San Francisco, CA - At the 2024 World Agri-Tech Conference in San Francisco, CropVue Technologies announced its collaboration with FMC Corporation to advance precision agriculture. FMC Corporation is an agricultural sciences company that has been advancing farming through innovative and sustainable crop protection technologies for over a century. Founded in 2019, CropVue simplifies crop protection through affordable, IoT-based hardware for pest monitoring in specialty and row crops.

FMC launched its Arc™ farm intelligence platform in 2020, offering growers a full suite of features, including customized alerts through a mobile app that indicates pest pressure levels and recommends action before they become a problem. CropVue’s camera traps gather data by monitoring insect pests and streamline the process of retrieving and reviewing the trap catch data. CropVue’s data, coupled with FMC’s Arc™ farm intelligence, allows growers access to more frequent and reliable insights versus manual field scouting methods. FMC has deployed CropVue’s camera traps in over 20 countries to monitor more than two dozen insect species across various crops.

“The data captured by CropVue successfully integrates into the Arc™ farm intelligence platform, providing real-time insights to growers and enabling them to make proactive decisions to combat challenging insect pests in their fields,” said Jordan Hesterman, director, FMC Precision Agriculture. “Our shared purpose is to provide growers with the latest technology to maximize their yields.”

CropVue CEO Terry Arden is enthusiastic about the partnership, commenting, “Engaging with FMC provides validation of our technology and business model, and their feedback allows us to further improve our hardware and software season-over-season.”

This collaboration will provide critical data to growers, crop advisors and distributors, helping them improve on-farm efficiency through precise and targeted product application.

During World Agri-Tech, CropVue is showcased as a scale-up exhibitor company at booth 7 in the start-up arena (worldagritechusa.com/startups). FMC is a platinum partner sponsor located in the World Agri-Tech room at Foothills A.
