What are the advantages of CropVue’s devices over traditional manual scouting?

Where do CropVue Devices work?
We are able to support devices worldwide, across almost any cellular network and using a range of network types. In new regions, we are able to provide a signal tester device to precisely determine where connectivity will be optimal for your fields.
What maintenance is involved?
Regular monthly maintenance involves checking traps for debris, cleaning camera lenses, and wiping off solar cells. This quick care can occur when you change your trap’s lure, or every 4-6 weeks in the growing season. Refer to the user manual for specific cleaning instructions.
Who can see my data?
You are in control of the visibility of data in your account. Choose designees and their permission levels for your farm or specific fields.

How is the data from the trap accessed?
The CropVue App shows both raw images and calculated data. The trap has built-in cellular connectivity to upload images and data to the CropVue cloud. Users can log in to view daily images, historical data, and analysis reports.

Automated Delta Trap
How does the camera work with the delta trap?
The camera is attached to the top of the delta trap and automatically images the contained sticky liner daily.
What types of pests can the Automated Camera Trap detect?
Any pest that can be caught in a delta trap can be detected. Typically, a lure is placed inside the trap to encourage detection of the target pest.

How often does the camera take pictures?
Images are captured once daily, at 10pm local time. This timing assures even illumination via LEDs, and low humidity for a crisp image.
Is the camera trap weatherproof?
The automated camera trap is designed to withstand typical farm weather conditions, including rain, wind, UV/sun, and temperature. It is constructed from durable, weather-resistant materials to ensure reliable operation in agricultural environments.
Is it easy to set up an Automated Camera Trap?
Fold the coroplast delta structure, attach the camera device, and install a standard sticky liner and lure of choice. Bring the Automated Camera Trap to your chosen location and power on to begin taking images within 24 hours. For more information, please see our installation guide video.
In-Canopy Weather
Why would I need In-Canopy weather?
The temperatures in your crop may vary widely from the nearest weather station, with a difference of up to 2℃. By using In-Canopy weather, the most accurate temperature and humidity data is available for precise degree day modeling.

The usage of the CropVue App is included in your rental, providing valuable access to all AI and management tools for you and your staff at no additional cost.
What features does the CropVue App offer?
